Minor Electrical Fixes questions.
How much do minor electrical fixes cost in Nassau County?
Minor electrical work is billed at $75 per hour with a one-hour minimum, after a free estimate. A single outlet or switch swap is quick, and you get a clear estimate before any work starts.
What counts as a minor electrical fix?
Swapping outlets and switches, installing light fixtures, and other small installs. It does not include panel work, new circuits or other jobs that call for a licensed electrician.
What if my job needs a licensed electrician?
I tell you honestly and point you in the right direction. I will not take on work beyond minor fixes and low-voltage installs.
Can you install a new ceiling light?
I can replace an existing light fixture. Jobs that need new wiring or a new circuit are not minor work, and I will refer them out.
Can you install smart switches or dimmers?
Yes, where the existing wiring allows it. I check during the free estimate whether your boxes work with the switch you want.
Do you do new wiring or new circuits?
No. New wiring, new circuits and panel work are outside what I do, and I will point you to a licensed electrician for those. I stick to minor fixes and low-voltage installs.
Do you come to my home or office?
Yes. Everything I do is on-site. See my in-home & on-site service page for how visits work across Nassau County and Long Island, seven days a week.
